Christoph Weber-Berg

Christoph Weber-Berg (* 1964 ) is a Swiss pastor and business ethicist. Since August 1, 2012 he has been President of the Church Council of the Reformed Regional Church in Aargau .

Christoph Weber grew up in Teufenthal and Unterkulm in the Kulm district of Aargau . He attended cantonal schools in Aarau and Glarus and after graduating, studied Protestant theology at the University of Zurich . In 1992 he was ordained "Verbi Divini Minister" by the Reformed Church in Aargau in Lenzburg . After deputizing in Thun and Murten , he became a pastor in the parish of Lenzburg-Hendschiken, where he worked from 1995 to 2001. From 2001 to 2008 he headed the “Church & Economy” department of the Reformed Church in the Canton of Zurich and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) training in Nonprofit Management at the University of Friborg . From 2009 to 2012 he was head of the “Center for Corporate Social Responsibility” at the Zurich School of Economics .

The Synod of the Reformed Church in Aargau has elected him to succeed Claudia Bandixen as President of the Church Council. He took up this position on August 1, 2012.
