The Phoenix Peak is a 570 m high mountain at the Nordenskjöld Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises just south of the Muskeg Gap at the northern end of the Sobral Peninsula .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey was surveyed between 1960 and 1961 for its mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after the Phoenix Manufacturing Company from Eau Claire , Wisconsin , which developed one of the first motorized towing vehicles for moving goods across ice between 1906 and 1907 .
