Pia Mankertz (born October 28, 1990 in Hamburg ) is a German basketball player . Since 2010 she has been playing for BG '89 Rotenburg / Scheeßel .

career

Mankertz played in the youth of the Hamburg club SC Alstertal-Langenhorn and made the leap into the German U16 national team, with which she participated in the B-EM in 2005 and 2006. Between 2007 and 2010 she played for SC Rist Wedel  in the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2008 she represented the U18 national team at the B-EM and was the most successful thrower in her team with an average of 11.4 points. In the summer of 2010 she was the top performer of the U20 national team at the European Championships in Latvia.

For the 2010/11 season Mankertz moved to BG '89 Rotenburg / Scheeßel and rose to the DBBL in the first year with the Lower Saxony team . In 2012 she was appointed to the German senior national team and strengthened the DBB selection in the qualifying round for the European Championship.

In Rotenburg she was promoted to team captain. In 2013 the team had to return to the 2nd Bundesliga, but rose again as champions the following year. In 2017 there was another relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga.

In addition to her basketball career, she completed a teaching degree.
