history

Although basketball had been practiced by the YMCA movement in the Rotenburg (Wümme) area since the beginning of the 50s, and since the end of the 60s and beginning of the 70s, it was also able to be anchored in the club sports of TV Scheeßel and TuS Rotenburg in terms of departments, this was an attractive one , aesthetic, fast and combative team sport, which was invented in the USA in 1891, for a long time did not go beyond the status of a marginal sport. This has changed dramatically since 1989. Since the merger of the two departments of TV Scheeßel and TuS Rotenburg to form a basketball community, there has been a rapid upward development in competitive sports, both at youth and adult level.
