The Eintracht Braunschweig LionPride is a women's basketball team that was founded in 2018 and was accepted into the 1st women's basketball league in June 2018 .
history
The two clubs Wolfpack Wolfenbüttel and Eintracht Braunschweig bundled their first women's teams in April 2018 and have been playing under common names ever since. The merger was justified for financial reasons in order to be able to achieve promotion to the first division. The model for this construct is the WNBL team Girls Baskets Region 38 . The game is played alternately in the Lindenhalle in Wolfenbüttel and in Braunschweig (Alte Waage). However, at the end of the first season it was decided that despite a sporting non-relegation, they would start again in the second division due to the low playing time of the young German talents.
