The Capitol Bascats are a German basketball club for women's basketball from the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital Düsseldorf . With currently 300 members in the youth and senior classes, it is currently the second largest basketball club in Germany. In addition to competitive sports with several senior and junior teams, the club is also represented in Düsseldorf with many other popular sports teams.
The first women's team in particular made it from the district league to the 2nd DBBL in four years with three marches each . From the 2020/21 season, they will now play in the second Bundesliga with their new coach.
