history

"From relegation candidates to promotion aspirants" - 2010–2019

Since the 2010/11 season, the first team of TG Neuss has been playing in the 2nd women's basketball league again . In the 2013/14 season, the team achieved relegation with a win against Wolfpack Wolfenbüttel . For the 2014/15 season they were called TG Neuss Tigers. In 2015/16 the team surprisingly came second, but was eliminated against Wolfenbüttel in the first round of the playoffs. A year later they reached the playoffs again in fourth place, but were eliminated in a tight playoff series against Göttingen. In the following season they reached 2nd place and thus the playoffs against the Wolfpack from Wolfenbüttel. In the first season after 7 years with Janina Pils, the Tigers started the 2018/19 season with Antonie Braibant on the sidelines. The season was rather sluggish with few wins and several differences, which is why the coach separated towards the end of the season. Then the department head Angela Krings took over the lead with the experienced players of the team and scored 5 wins and no defeat. However, you could not take part in the playoffs for the fourth time in a row and had to be satisfied with 6th place.

The "20s"

In the first season with the new coach John Bruhnke and only a slightly changed team, the season started sometimes bumpy and stumbled on the feared opponent Grünberg and against the BBZ Opladen. But then a series of 4 wins could be achieved until the winless bottom of the table from Chemnitz ended this. After the defeat in Braunschweig at the beginning of the year, a winning streak with 4 wins could be achieved again, the MSP Bergische Löwen beat the second league leader in the season, but the important player Briana Williams was injured there and thus only Krofdorf could be defeated . The last games of the Tigers against Grünberg and ALBA Berlin were unfortunately lost and so you would have occupied 5th place, but the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the playoffs could not take place.
