The Piasecki Pass ( Polish: Przełęcz Piaseckiego ) is a mountain pass between 200 and 210 m high on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located on the Keller Peninsula above the Noble Glacier between Mount Birkenmajer and the Tyrrell Ridge .
Polish scientists named it in 1980. It is named after the Polish glaciologist Jacek Piasecki [ ˈjat͡sɛk pʲaˈsɛt͡skʲi ], who worked at the Arctowski station between 1978 and 1979 .
