Pic Blanc is the name of a 2,650 meter high mountain in Andorra . From 1972 bis 1981 here operated Sud Radio , a 900-kilowatt transmitter for medium wave. A directional antenna was used as the antenna system, consisting of an 86 meter high, grounded, free-standing steel lattice tower and an isolated free-standing steel lattice tower that served as a reflector. With the exception of the reflector tower, the system is still there today, but it should no longer be operational. It is considered to be one of the highest transmitter systems in Europe.
