Picture Book is the debut album by Simply Red , which was released in October 1985. 3,310,000 copies of the album have been sold so far. In addition to original compositions, it contains two cover versions: Heaven (originally by Talking Heads from 1979) and Money's Too Tight (To Mention) (by the Valentine Brothers from 1982). The sales success was borne by the very successful Ballade Holding Back the Years , which reached the top position in the USA in July 1986. Music from the album was used in four episodes of the Miami Vice series, which was very popular in the 1980s .
