Piero Pelù
Piero Pelù (* 10. February 1962 in Florence as Pietro Pelù ) is an Italian rock musician who primarily as the frontman of the band Litfiba became known.
Career
From the very beginning, Pelù was Litfiba's singer between 1980 and 1999. After the release of the album Infinito , he left the band and began his solo career with the song Il mio nome è mai più , which he wrote and recorded with Ligabue and Jovanotti . The charity song in aid of the Emergency organization turned against the Kosovo war and stayed at the top of the Italian single charts for 17 weeks. Pelù then presented his first solo album Né buoni né cattivi . This was followed by UDS - L'uomo della strada (2002), Soggetti smarriti (2003) and Presente (2005).
After moving from Warner to Sony BMG , the musician released the album In faccia in 2006 , on which he also broke new ground musically. As part of MTV Storytellers , he gave a concert in 2007, which was then released as an album. The new album Fenomeni was released in 2008. The following year Pelù and Litfiba announced their reunion . After extensive tours together, Pelù appeared as a coach at The Voice of Italy , a role he took on again in 2014 and 2015. In 2013 he also released the solo compilation Identikit .
With the song Gigante he reached fifth place at the Sanremo Festival 2020 .
