During the formation of the priests, an intimate spiritual relationship with the Holy Family developed . His first job as a pastor was in the parish of St. Eulalia in Bordeaux. The increasing number of pastoral and nursing tasks in orphan and maternal care prompted him to found a community of women. This resulted in the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Bordeaux in 1820.

After his death, Pierre-Bienvenu Noailles was worshiped in the Bordeaux area. The miracle of the Host of Bordeaux was also attributed to him. The beatification process began in 1926, on February 8, 1988, he was raised to the rank of venerable servant of God.

The miracle of the host

The Bordeaux Eucharistic Miracle is associated with the founding of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Bordeaux in 1820 and its founder.

“The miracle happened twenty months after its foundation, in the church of Sainte Eulalia, on rue Mazarin, in Bordeaux. Abbot Delort represented Father Noailles during Mass, when he gave the blessing with the Most Holy Sacrament, Jesus appeared in the Host. This was exposed for Eucharistic adoration. The many believers who were present at mass could see Jesus blessing on the wafer for twenty minutes. Some even thought they had heard the voice of God: “I am who I am”. This event was authenticated by the ecclesiastical authorities, such as the Archbishop of Bordeaux, Monsignor d'Aviau, who personally listened to all the testimony of those present at the miracle. Today you can still visit the chapel where the miracle took place and worship the monstrance. "
