Pierre Dupuis

Pierre-Léon Dupuis alias Pierre Dupuis (born November 2, 1929 in Dieppe ; † December 27, 2004 ) was a French cartoonist .

Career

After graduating, Pierre Dupuis published his first comic story in 1950. On the recommendation of Paul Gillon , a job at Vaillant followed in the same year. As a result, countless short stories and series were created for other publishers.

Dupuis was also employed in Belgium. 27 short stories were written for Uncle Paul . The first story was from René Goscinny , the others from Octave Joly . As successor to Albert Uderzo , he drew Le mystère du dragon noir , the second episode of Marco Polo, which appeared in La Libre Junior and was written by Joly. He also helped out Uderzo in Belloy .

Pierre Dupuis later worked on historical material and drew in the field of adult comics.
