Octave Joly
Octave Joly (born May 5, 1910 in Momignies , † June 7, 1988 in Brussels ) was a Belgian journalist and comic book author .
Career
Octave Joly published his first newspaper article in 1930. He continued his journalistic activities in the 1930s for various magazines and newspapers. After the war he worked for radio and cinema advertising.
Through René Follet , he came into contact with Jean-Michel Charlier , who offered him the opportunity to work on Uncle Paul . He became the sole author in 1954 and wrote over a thousand short stories with historical content by 1982.
He retired in 1982.
