Pierre Gilbert (lexicographer)

Pierre Gilbert (born November 7, 1914 , † December 25, 2012 in Vevey ) was a French Romance philologist and lexicographer of the French language of the 20th century.

life and work

Gilbert took part in 1957 in Strasbourg at the colloquium on French lexicology and lexicography organized by Paul Imbs . He moved in 1963 with Hans Ludwig Scheel from the University of Kiel at the Saarland University and built as a university lecturer in French, a branch of the by Bernard Quemada at the University of Besancon furnished Observatory on the presence of French on.
