Pierre Lavanchy (born September 30, 1982 ) is a Swiss athlete . He is the most successful active 400 meter runner in Switzerland.

Lavanchy lives in the canton of Vaud and studies sports and psychology . He starts for the Lausanne-Sports Athlétisme club .
