Pierre Morel-A-L'Huissier (born December 21, 1958 in Strasbourg ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2002 .

Morel-A-L'Huissier was full-time lawyer, when he was a staff of 1,986 Gaullist Jacques Blanc , who this year President of the Regional Council of Languedoc-Roussillon has started working. In 1998 he gained his first own political office when he entered the General Council of the Lozère department . He was initially involved at the local level, for example in 1999 he initiated the establishment of a Communauté de communes . In 2001 he was elected mayor of the small community of Fournels . The following year he ran for the UMP in the parliamentary elections and was elected one of the two members of the Lozère department. After his re-election in 2007, the department was reduced to one constituency in the following elections in 2012. As a result, he stood up against his fellow party member Francis Saint-Léger , among others . While he achieved second place in the first round with 27.4% behind the socialist Sophie Pantel and Saint-Léger failed, he was able to assert himself with just 50.5% in the second round.
