Fournels (Occitan: Fornèls ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 367 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Mende and the canton of Aumont-Aubrac (until 2015 Fournels ). The inhabitants are called Fournelais .

location

Fournels is located in the northeast of the Aubrac plateau, which is part of the Massif Central, about 44 kilometers northwest of Mende . Fournels is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Arzenc-d'Apcher in the north and north-west, Termes in the east and north-east and Noalhac in the south and west.
