Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Aumont-Aubrac included the six municipalities of Aumont-Aubrac , Fau-de-Peyre , Javols , La Chaze-de-Peyre , Sainte-Colombe-de-Peyre and Saint-Sauveur- de-Peyre . Its layout corresponded to an area of 153.30 km².
