La Fage-Montivernoux (Occitan: La Faja ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 155 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Mende and the canton of Aumont-Aubrac (until 2015: canton of Fournels ). The inhabitants are called Fageais .

La Fage-Montivernoux is located in the northeast of the Aubrac plateau, which is part of the Massif Central, about 37 kilometers northwest of Mende . La Fage-Montivernoux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Noalhac in the north, La Fage-Saint-Julien in the northeast, Les Bessons in the east and northeast, Peyre en Aubrac with Fau-de-Peyre in the east and southeast, Prinsuéjols-Malbouzon in the south, Brion to the west and Saint-Laurent-de-Veyrès to the west and north-west.
