Monts-de-Randon is a French commune with 1,301 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Mende and to the cantons of Saint-Alban-sur-Limagnole and Marvejols .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by merging the previous municipalities of Estables , Rieutort-de-Randon , Saint-Amans , Servières and La Villedieu , all of which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Rieutort-de-Randon.

The community is located in the southern Massif Central , around 15 kilometers north of Mende , in the Margeride landscape . The Truyère River has its source in the municipality. Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Denis-en-Margeride in the north, La Panouse in the northeast, Saint-Sauveur-de-Ginestoux and Arzenc-de-Randon in the east, Le Born in the southeast, Chastel-Nouvel and Mende in the south, Barjac and Gabrias in the Southwest, Lachamp-Ribennes and Saint-Gal in the west and Les Laubies in the northwest.
