The Communauté de communes Randon-Margeride is a French community association with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Lozère department in the Occitania region . It was founded on November 30, 2016 and comprises 15 communities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative center is in the municipality of Monts-de-Randon .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

  • Communauté de communes du Canton de Châteauneuf-de-Randon ,
  • Communauté de communes Margeride Est
  • Communauté de communes de la Terre de Randon .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Ribennes and Lachamp became part of the Commune nouvelle Lachamp-Ribennes and the former municipalities of Rieutort-de-Randon , Estables , Saint-Amans , Servières and La Villedieu became part of the Commune nouvelle Monts-de -Randon on. This reduced the number of member communities to 15.
