Ribennes ( Occitan : Ribennas ) is a village and a commune déléguée in the southern French municipality of Lachamp-Ribennes with 173 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The inhabitants are called Ribennois .
On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Ribennes merged with Lachamp to form the Commune nouvelle Lachamp-Ribennes. It belonged to the Arrondissement of Mende and the canton of Marvejols (until 2015 Saint-Amans ).

Ribennes is located in the area of the Causse de Sauveterre in the southern Massif Central on the Colagne in the Cevennes in the historic landscape of Gevaudan . Ribennes is surrounded by the Commune déléguée Lachamp in the south and the neighboring communities

- Saint-Amans to the east and northeast,
- Rieutort-de-Randon in the east and southeast,
- Recoules-de-Fumas in the west and south-west,
- Peyre en Aubrac with Saint-Sauveur-de-Peyre to the west and Javols to the northwest.
