Saint-Amans ( Occitan : Sant Amans ) is a village and a commune déléguée in the southern French municipality of Monts-de-Randon with 151 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region . The inhabitants are called Saint-Amaniens .

On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Saint-Amans merged with Servières , La Villedieu , Estables and Rieutort-de-Randon to form the Commune nouvelle Monts-de-Randon. It belonged to the arrondissement of Mende and the canton of Saint-Alban-sur-Limagnole (until 2015: canton of Saint-Amans ).

Saint-Amans is located in the area of ​​the Causse de Sauveterre on the Colagne in the south massif Central in the Cevennes in the historic landscape of Gevaudan . The Truyère crosses the northern part of the municipality. The municipality of Saint-Amans was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Les Laubies in the north, Estables in the east, Rieutort-de-Randon in the south and southeast, Ribennes in the southwest and Saint-Gal in the west.
