Lachamp-Ribennes is a French commune with 344 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Mende and the Canton of Marvejols .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by merging the previous municipalities of Lachamp and Ribennes , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Ribennes.

geography
The community is located around 15 kilometers northwest of Mende in the Margeride countryside . The Colagne River touches the municipality. Neighboring communities are:
- Serverette and Saint-Gal in the north,
- Monts-de-Randon with Saint-Amans in the northeast,
- Rieutort-de-Randon in the east,
- Servières in the southeast,
- Gabrias and Montrodat in the south,
- Saint-Léger-de-Peyre in the southwest,
- Recoules-de-Fumas to the west, as well
- Peyre en Aubrac with Saint-Sauveur-de-Peyre and Javols in the northwest.
