La Bastide-Puylaurent is a French commune in the department Lozère in the region Occitania . Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Saint-Étienne-du-Valdonnez and the Arrondissement of Mende .

The mountain village at 1023 meters above sea level with 157 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) is located in the southern massif central in the Cevennes and is crossed by the Allier river. The highest mountain in the Cevennes, Lozère , is about 25 kilometers southwest of the municipality.
