Bourgs sur Colagne is a French commune with 2,137 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region . It is the capital of the canton of Chirac in the Mende arrondissement .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 through the merger of the previous municipalities Chirac and Le Monastier-Pin-Moriès , which have since had the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality.
Bourgs sur Colagne borders in the north on Saint-Laurent-de-Muret and Antrenas , in the east on Marvejols , Palhers and Saint-Bonnet-de-Chirac , in the south-east on Les Salelles , in the south-west on La Canourgue and Saint-Germain-du- Part and Les Salces to the west.
