Bel-Air-Val-d'Ance is a French commune with 526 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Mende and the Canton of Grandrieu .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous communes of Chambon-le-Château and Saint-Symphorien , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new commune . The administrative headquarters are in Chambon-le-Château.

The municipality is located around 40 kilometers northeast of Mende in the extreme northeast of the department, on the border with the neighboring department of Haute-Loire in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region .
