Bel-Air-Val-d'Ance is a French commune with 526 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Mende and the Canton of Grandrieu .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous communes of Chambon-le-Château and Saint-Symphorien , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new commune . The administrative headquarters are in Chambon-le-Château.

geography
The municipality is located around 40 kilometers northeast of Mende in the extreme northeast of the department, on the border with the neighboring department of Haute-Loire in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . The municipality is crossed by the Ance River , a tributary of the Allier . Neighboring communities are:
- Thoras and the associated Commune déléguée Croisances in the northwest,
- Saint-Préjet-d'Allier and Alleyras in the north,
- Saint-Vénérand and Saint-Christophe-d'Allier in the northeast,
- Saint Bonnet-Laval with Saint-Bonnet-de-Montauroux and Laval-Atger in the east,
- Grandrieu in the south,
- Saint-Paul-le-Froid to the west.
