Croisances is a former French commune of last 33 inhabitants (2013) in the department of Haute-Loire in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belonged to the Arrondissement Brioude and the canton Gorges de l'Allier-Gévaudan (until 2015 Saugues ). The inhabitants are called Croisanciens .
With effect from January 1, 2016, Croisances was merged with the municipality of Thoras to form a commune nouvelle with the same name.
Croisances is about 35 kilometers southwest of Le Puy-en-Velay .
