The canton of La Canourgue is a French administrative unit in the arrondissements of Florac and Mende in the Lozère department in the Occitanie region ; its main town is La Canourgue .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the six municipalities of Banassac , Canilhac , La Canourgue , La Tieule , Laval-du-Tarn and Saint-Saturnin belonged to the canton of La Canourgue . Its layout corresponded to an area of 198.96 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 4804.

- Merger of Montbrun (canton Florac) , Quézac (canton Florac) and Sainte-Enimie → Gorges du Tarn Causses
- Fusion of Le Massegros , Le Recoux , Les Vignes , Saint-Georges-de-Lévéjac and Saint-Rome-de-Dolan → Massegros Causses Gorges

- Merger of Banassac and Canilhac → Banassac-Canilhac
