Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Langogne included the nine municipalities of Auroux , Chastanier , Cheylard-l'Évêque , Fontanes , Langogne , Luc , Naussac , Rocles and Saint-Flour-de-Mercoire . Its layout corresponded to an area of 209.42 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 4810.

2017: Merger of Laval-Atger and Saint-Bonnet-de-Montauroux → Saint Bonnet-Laval
2016: Fusion Fontanes and Naussac → Naussac-Fontanes
