Pierre Peters (born July 12, 1953 in Esch-sur-Alzette ) is a former Luxembourg politician, activist, author and economist .

politics

As co-founder and leader of the National-Movong , a right-wing extremist and nationalist party, he entered the parliamentary elections on June 12, 1994 under the slogan “Mir wëlle bleiwen wat mir sinn” (Eng . “We want to stay what we are”) and received less than 3% of all valid votes. Because of this, the movement was dissolved in December 1995. After this election defeat, Pierre Peters withdrew from politics and has since been a member of the Frëndeskree Fräi Stëmm vu Lëtzeburg .

Through his website he tries to embark on a new radical political course with xenophobic , nationalistic and ecological texts. He was the guest of honor and speaker on March 6, 2009 at a monthly meeting of the NPD Trier and in his speech “Luxembourg in danger?” He tried to draw attention to the nature and culture that, in his opinion, had been destroyed by foreigners. He also took part in NPD demonstrations several times. Through his close contacts in Germany, he made friends with NPD candidate Safet Babic .

In January 2011, two of Peters' homes were searched by the police after he had found leaflets with the title “Etrangers, dehors! ... Ech halen et nëtt méi! Auslänner eraus ”distributed. The Ministry of Justice interpreted this as a “call for xenophobia”. However, there was neither an arrest nor a charge. In the course of the investigation, Peters' homepage was taken offline and has not been accessible since.

In the summer of 2012, Peters distributed leaflets and leaflets, mainly among farmers, offering help with tax returns, but which also contained xenophobic slogans. Because of the latter, a court sentenced him in June 2013 in the second instance to 160 hours of community service
