Pierre Paul Oscar d'Ornellas (born May 9, 1953 in Paris ) is a French clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Rennes .

Life

Pierre d'Ornellas was ordained a priest on August 15, 1984 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Naraggara and auxiliary bishop in Paris on July 4, 1997 . The Archbishop of Paris, Jean-Marie Cardinal Lustiger , ordained him episcopal on October 10 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Claude Frikart CIM , Auxiliary Bishop in Paris, and Raymond Bouchex , Archbishop of Avignon . His motto is Propter nimiam caritatem suam .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on October 19, 2006 Coadjutor Archbishop of Rennes. After the death of François Saint-Macarys he followed this on 26 March 2007 in the office of the Archbishop of Rennes.
