The two menhirs Pierres Folles du Follet stand like two huge goal posts on either side of a courtyard entrance in the hamlet of Follet, south of the D19 and south of Rosnay near La Roche-sur-Yon in the Vendée department in France .

The Pierres Folles ( German  "crazy stones" ) are two Neolithic menhirs about 3.5 meters high , which weigh about 11.0 and 15.0 tons and have been classified as Monuments historiques since 1984 .

According to legend, the giant Gargantua liked to come to Poitou to play Minche . During the game he smashed houses and flocks and became the region's horror. One day when he was playing in Rosnay he crushed a dozen sheep. The dogs in the herd bit his heel. After failing to catch them, he threw two pucks at them, which got stuck in the ground and formed the Pierres Folles de Follet.
