Piet Kaas

Piet Kaas (born 1931 or 1932; † November 21, 2012 in Hoorn , North Holland ) was a Dutch football player.

Kaas played after the introduction of professional football in 1954 for the newly founded team from Alkmaar'54 in the combined top division of NBVB and KNVB . When the Eredivisie was introduced in 1956, the team failed to qualify, but Kaas was active in the second division for three more seasons at Alkmaar'54. In total, the striker was on the pitch in 78 competitive games in Alkmaar and scored 58 goals. With 0.7 goals per game, he was the record holder of the later fusion club AZ at the time of his death.
