Pieter Jan Brugge

Pieter Jan Brugge (born November 6, 1955 in Deventer , Overijssel province ) is a Dutch film producer .

Life

Brugge grew up in the Netherlands and studied at the Dutch Film and Television Academy. He received a scholarship from the Department of Education to continue his studies at the American Film Institute . From 1984 he was initially involved in several US film productions as a production manager. In 1987 he was promoted to line producer and accompanied the production of My Devilish Lover . Brugge co-produced the films Loverboy and Glory in 1989 and was subsequently involved as executive producer and producer on more than ten other film projects.

At the 2000 Academy Awards , he and Michael Mann were nominated for an Oscar in the Best Picture category for their production Insider .

In 2004, Brugge made his directorial debut with Anatomie einer Abführung. So far this has been his only directorial work for a film, in 2016 he shot another episode of the Bosch series . In 2010 he played a small role in 127 Hours . Since 2016 he has been executive producer on the series Bosch involved
