Pieter Ombregt

Pieter Ombregt (born June 11, 1980 in Kanegem , West Flanders Province , Belgium , † September 11, 2007 in Matteson , Illinois , United States ) was a Belgian photographer and racing cyclist .

biography

Pieter Ombregt studied photography at Columbia College in Chicago (2003). Then he worked as a successful art photographer in Chicago. At the same time he was a preparator at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago and an assistant photographer at the Paul Elledge Studio there .

In addition, he was active as a cyclist and achieved various placements in US races. He died as a result of his injuries sustained after falling in a bicycle race.
