Pietro Ratto

Pietro Ratto (born April 11, 1965 in Genoa ) is an Italian writer and rock musician.

Life

Pietro Ratto played in the progressive rock group Aton's between 1977 and 1999 and recorded several solo albums. He studied philosophy and computer science and received the laureate in 1990 for a thesis on artificial intelligence. In 1995 he did a further training in journalism at the Albo dei Giornalisti .

Ratto works as a teacher of philosophy, psychology and history. Ratto writes magazine articles and articles for the daily La Stampa . In 2010 he created the IN-CONTRO / STORIA website. Ratto publishes books on historical subjects.

In 2014 his book Le pagine strappate was on the shortlist of the Contropremio Carver. For this book he examined archival material from the Tridentine Council from the 15th century in order to check the truth of the stories about the alleged Popess Joan . In 2014 he also published a book on the life and work of Immanuel Kant .
