Pillory was an American death metal band from Boston , Massachusetts that was formed in 2003 and disbanded in 2008.
history
The band was formed in the summer of 2003. This was followed by appearances all over New England before Unique Leader Records became aware of the band and signed them. In 2005, the first and only album No Lifeguard at the Gene Pool followed on this label . Then Ian Jacyszyn joined the line-up as the new drummer. In 2008 the band broke up again.
style

Cthulhu E. from voicesfromthedarkside.de assigned No Lifeguard at the Gene Pool to Death Metal and also heard influences from Black Metal and Grindcore , the songs being reminiscent of the works of Cephalic Carnage , Gorguts and Macabre . In addition, playing the instruments is technically very demanding.
