The Pinet Butte is a small witness mountain in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It forms the western branch of the Caudal Hills .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after Paul R. Pinet, geologist at McMurdo Station from 1966 to 1967.
