Offutt "Reb" Pinion (born March 23, 1910 in Floyd County , Kentucky , † September 30, 1976 in Contra Costa County , California ) was an American sports marksman .
successes
Offutt Pinion won the silver medal at the world championships in the team competition in Caracas in 1954 and in Moscow in 1958 with the free pistol over 50 m. He took part in the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 in competition with the free pistol over 50 m. With 551 points, he took third place behind Pentti Linnosvuo and Machmud Umarow and thus received the bronze medal.
Pinion was a member of the US Navy .
