Pink Narcissus is an approximately hour-long American feature film from 1971. It tells the homoerotic story of a young man who escapes his everyday life by indulging in narcissistic daydreams that sometimes make him a matador in an arena , sometimes the lover of a Roman emperor and show in a sheikh's harem .

In the credits, the director, producer, cameraman etc. is named as "Anonymous", but today it is known that the film was made by the American James Bidgood .

Using primitive means (part of which is shot on 8mm film ), Bidgood created colorful, poetic images that influenced the work of artists such as Pierre et Gilles with their gay aesthetic .

Pink Narcissus, which has been a cult film on the gay scene since its creation, has been released on DVD in the USA, among others.
