Bubonix is a German hardcore punk band.

history

It was founded in Limburg an der Lahn in 1994 and has been rehearsing in the old lime works between Limburg and Diez ever since . The mainly English texts deal with topics such as fascism , violence , state oppression, but also personal experiences. In their music, aggressive riffs and brutal vocals alternate with melodies and groovy beats. An important part of the program was communication with the audience. At the Kalkwerk Festival they were the focus of attention almost every year alongside the external headliners.

Founding member and singer Polomski moved to Switzerland for professional reasons and therefore left the band. The remaining band members could not find a replacement and disbanded the band in March 2009.

Markus Klees and Oliver Kunz founded the band CONMOTO in the same year. With the entry of Sarah De Castro, half of the former Bubonix will play under a new name. Thorsten Polomski forms the electro duo EAU-DC with Jens Fischer, plays in the band LYVTEN and currently lives in Lucerne, Switzerland. Hermann Weier has been drumming at Toxoplasma since 2008 .

In 2015 the band reunited with the last line-up, and selected concerts are planned for 2016
