The Pinksey Bottom (alternative spelling also Pinskey Bottom) is a small river in Cumbria , in north-west England . The Pinskey Bottom has its source on the north slope of the Green Bell and flows north to its confluence with the Sandwath Beck .
Soon after its formation, the Pinksey Bottom flows through the incision of Pinskey Gill (alternative spelling Pinksey Gill). The Pinskey Gill is a Site of Special Scientific Interest . The area is known for the paleogeography and environmental reconstruction of northern England in the Carboniferous Period .
