Pinky Silverberg

Pinky Silverberg (actually Pincus Silverberg , * 5. April 1904 in New York City ; † 16th January 1964 ) was an American boxer in the flyweight .

Professional career

Silverberg began his professional career in 1920. On October 22, 1927 he boxed against Ruby Bradley for the vacant NBA World Championship and won by disqualification in Round 7. He held the title until December 4 of the same year when he was given it by the President of the Association for insufficient performance in a non- Got stripped of the title fight.

In 1937, Silverberg ended his career after 89 fights with a balanced record of 33 wins and 33 losses.

In 2007, Silverberg was inducted into the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame .
