Isadore Schwartz (1928)

Isadore Schwartz (* 23. October 1900 in New York City , USA ; † 8. July 1988 ) was an American boxer in the flyweight . He was managed by Phil Bernstein .

Professional career

In 1921 he started his professional career successfully. On December 16, 1927, he boxed against Newsboy Brown for the vacant NYSAC World Championship and won by a unanimous judge's decision. Schwartz was also the first NYSAC world champion in this weight class . He defended this title a total of five times and held it until 1929.

In 1932 he ended his career.

Isadore Schwartz of Jewish descent and was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.
