Pio Island , also known as Bio Island , is an uninhabited island in the Makira and Ulawa province of the Pacific island state of the Solomon Islands .
geography
The island is 4 km northwest of the island of Uki Ni Masi and about 18 km off the north coast of the many times larger island Makira , formerly known as San Cristóbal .
