Uki Ni Masi , also known as Ugi Island or Uki Island , is a small island in the Makira and Ulawa province of the Pacific island state of the Solomon Islands .
geography
The island is located 8 km off the north coast of the much larger island Makira , formerly known as San Cristóbal . It has an area of 43.98 km². About 4 km off the northwest coast of Uki Ni Masi is the small uninhabited island of Pio Island .
There are several small settlements, mainly on the west coast of Uki Ni Masi . The main town Kohu Village is located directly on Selwyn Bay on the west coast of the island.
