Piotr Uklański
Piotr Uklański (* 1968 in Warsaw ) is a Polish photographer , video and installation artist .
life and work
Piotr Uklański studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and from 1990 photography at the Cooper Union . He was part of the New York art scene in the mid-1990s.
Uklański is known for the projects Untitled (Dance Floor) (1996), Untitled (The Nazis) (1998), The Joy of Photography (1997-2007), Untitled (John Paul II) , Polmart (2007) and Real Nazis (2017) ). His main themes are the body, sexuality, politics, and pop culture . He is the writer and director of the film Summer Love (2006).
