Piret Raud

Piret Raud (born July 15, 1971 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian artist and children's book author .

Life

Piret Raud was born as the daughter of the writers Eno Raud and Aino Pervik . The writers Mihkel Raud and Rein Raud are her older brothers, the writer Mart Raud was her grandfather. She went to school in Tallinn and studied there after graduating from high school (1989) at the art college . In 1995 she completed her studies with a Bachelor of Arts and in 1998 with a Master of Arts as a graphic designer . Among other things, she worked as an art teacher and editor of the children's magazine Tahke ('Sternchen'). Since 1999 she has lived in Tallinn as a freelance artist and writer.
